Paused In Cosmic Reflection

"I'm loving the new Chemical Brothers book by robinturner designed by paulkellyfilm

The early chapters especially capture the mood of the times and I was really pleased to discover this picture of Tom, Ed and I with Stefania from Pop magazine in The Ship on Wardour Street. I felt honoured to do a proper photo shoot with Tom and Ed for the magazine, even though they were friends and I'd known them for a while. They'd just finished the most amazing remix for 'Like A Motorway' which I still think is one of the best we've ever had done. The Ship was like the external 'meetings room' for Heavenly at the time. A lot of very creative decisions were made in that pub, there was a lot of love, fun and new collaborations happening."

Bob and Pete's new Ace comp. The sound of 3pm at Weeley or Bickershaw. More facial hair and chunky riffs than English Weather. But more danceable too: Curved Air, Atomic Rooster, May Blitz and (yes) Leaf Hound. Pre order from Ace Records now! https://acerecords.co.uk/incident-at-a-free-festival-1

London A-Z

London A-Z is a brand new compilation album from Bob Stanley released via Ace Records.

"If you threw a house party in London in the late twentieth century, before the smart phone rendered it redundant, you could guarantee that the following morning there would be a dog-eared copy of the A to Z behind the sofa, or under the coffee table, probably in a Tesco bag. Everybody had at least one. It was an essential aid in understanding London. It joined the dots and threw up obscure names printed over hitherto unexplored grids of streets: Alperton, Shooters Hill, Honor Oak, Tooting Graveney, Childs Hill, Ladywell. It invited you to create your own personal map of London, discover your own secret routes, your own special places." Bob Stanley
